TL DR: Cannot transfer files over my network properly since upgrading target host to Monterey.Īny thoughts? I know the network layer was changed in Big Sur (causing lots of headaches for me when running VMware Fusion. Downgraded back to Catalina and everything works just fine. I tried downgrading to Big Sur and had the same issues. I can't upgrade the 2012 TV Mac Mini beyond Catalina (without some kind of hack) Transferring files using other computers (MBP running Big Sur, MBP running Monterey) has issues, but not as bad. When transferring the file from the basement Mac using SFTP it will transfer about 20-30MB before stopping and then resume, eventually (but not always) completing the transfer. It seems like the network card on the Mac itself is just failing and resetting, as noted when I tried the same with a VPN connected - the VPN would constantly restart. Recently upgraded the Mac Mini from Catalina to Monterey), and since then I cannot SFTP the videos without the network on the TV Mac Mini resetting frequently - it uses ethernet as our house is wired with CAT6, but through testing, the same thing happens on wifi. The video files are downloaded on an older Mac Mini (2012) in my basement running Catalina. I have a Mac Mini (late 2014) hooked up to a TV to watch downloaded video files (MP4, MKV, M4V, etc.) through VLC. Several Macs (MBPs, Mac Minis) with mixture of OSs (Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey).
